According to the Michigan Department of Education’s rankings of schools released this week, Kent County school districts have eight schools ranked in the 99th percentile of schools statewide. The rankings are based on overall performance based on student performance in mathematics, reading, writing, science and social studies. The ranking also include the graduation rates for high schools. Prudential Preferred REALTORS Rockford office participated in the annual Rockford Start of Summer Parade to show their support for the Rockford community.
The parade was held on Saturday, June 15 and the annual event includes carnival rides, food booths and entertainment for the entire family.
The Annual Grand Rapids Parade of Homes will kick off this weekend. The Home Builders Assocation of Greater Grand Rapids announced that this year the event will include 57 new homes, six remodeled homes and eight “conceptual” homes in 17 communities. On Tuesday Gerald R Ford President Museum held a ceremony to open “Growing Up Grand” their newest exhibit. The exhibit showcases former President Gerald Ford from his birthplace to his graduation giving an insight to the making of the 38th President. Grand Rapids four major downtown museums will offer free admission on Sunday, April 21 from 12pm to 5pm. The Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, the Grand Rapids Public Museum and the Gerald R Ford Presidential Museum are the four museums offering this free event.
